** brought back memories of stripping the dried stalks for my mum who then made little cotten bags, stuffed them with the lavender and put them in our knicker drawers to make our undies smell nice. I think I must have permently smelt like an old lady!
(maybe that was how wildcard11 got to naming her cootie lavender!)
