Aw-w-w! Poor baby! He was probably just trying to check out what you were eating, maybe taste it to see if its good. This has nothing to do with you being sick in his mind. He can't talk, so that was his way of saying, "Hey, whatcha eating?"

I've been very impressed with the intelligence of dogs. I actually asked one if she was a person in a dog's body. I really did! She was just so freaking smart! I waited until we were alone. Alas, she didn't answer.

She was a black Lab of a friend of mine. This dog came up and 'told me' that the really, really old cat she lived with who wasn't supposed to be outside had gotten out and was in the back the yard. She also 'told me' when the little dog got out because someone didn't close the door good. Both times she bumped me with her nose until I stood up, then she would walk a little ways and look back at me until I followed her. She would also respond to anything you said like she completely understood. It was really erie.

I'd like to have a dog some day, but I like big dogs, like a Lab or Golden Retriever. But I just don't think apartment life would be good for them. So I'll wait until I have a yard.
