Ok. I know that God has put me at the school in which I teach. It is very apparent since I have counseled many kids this year.
Wow! Just this school year, in eighth grade alone, six students have come to me saying that they were put in the hospital because they over dosed. Today, a student told me that she needed to call home because she forgot to take her meds and she was having an attack. She then told me that she was bipolar. So many people are bi polar and so many of my students are on an anti-depressant. I wonder why. Is it the area in which I live? Maybe it is the crazy world in which we live.
I don't know. I do know that my students feel a relief when I tell them that I am on meds. So, if it allows me to be able to relate to them, I guess it is a good thing. I don't know. I don't wish mental illness on anyone, but I think God uses my situation to reach out and reach my students.
