Hi Jen,
My husband and I started an adoption process b4 I got pregnant with our 1st child - we had infertility problems. I remember they "asked" about history, but we never had to "show" them anything. Trust me, I would've remembered!
Also, our niece just had a baby, and the baby was adopted. It was an open adoption, she chose the parents. They were not required to share medical history with her, but in the course of getting to know them, the wife told my sister in law that she'd had to have a hysterectomy bec. of cancer, and her husband was diabetic and infertile.
I agree, more ppl on these days than off, and I think it should be optional whether someone had to share that information.
