No, I do understand what you mean. It's not attention to detail, like Monk. It's just this out of the blue stuff that everyone buys at face value. When you'd at least think it would be met with skepticism (like Mulder on X Files). And I don't even want to think about the legal realism.
Maybe I'm in the mood for prescience. (Is that the right word?)
