In reply to Does everyone have a lot of friends here?, posted by Deneb on December 18, 2005, at 0:06:07
I don't really talk to anyone except on Psycho-Babble itself, and I've been here 2 years. I've had a couple of people babble-mail me and I've replied, but it usually ends there. I like talking to people here. I feel I have made some genuine friends, but you do have to think of it a little differently from face to face friendships. Its just a different environment, so different rules apply.
Don't worry about your prior behavior. We all understand how these illnesses can effect a person in so many different ways. A cry for help comes in many different forms. Most people here realize that.
Don't worry if it seems people are ignoring you or something. Its just a part of the chatroom environment. Sometimes no one replies to my posts at all. That's happened to me lots of times. Or I post and then no one EVER posts to that thread again. Anybody who's been here a while has experienced these things. Its just a weird anomaly in the chatroom world. I just keep posting because its a place to vent and get my thoughts straight. If someone wants to reply, that's always cool too.
BTW, I get all the D-names mixed up. I know there's you, a Damos, and a Declan. I can't keep yall straight to save my life. Sometimes I even mix up ones who's names are nothing alike but they have similiar personalities (to me). This really has nothing to do with this thread, but I've been wanting to talk about it so that hopefully no one will get offended if I seem to get mixed up. That's just me. I'm a bit of a dingbat sometimes.
