I'm rather pessimistic in that I think that humans will be long gone before the Sun ever goes out. I don't think humans will last very long. Humans have to obey the laws of nature just like all the other animals. We are living way beyond our means.
I think a colossal umbrella is a great idea! It'll be nice and cosy inside. :-)
