I hate that period of time (trigger?)

Before the medications start to work, when my skin is burning with agitation and I want so badly to SI to gain immediate relief, but I don't because I know that I'll be ok soon. So I hang on and wait for the burning to subside. And I just can't do anything at all of any value whatsoever because until the burning subsides I just can't think.
I hate that time.
I'm glad it will be over soon enough.
