Hah! And I bet they were way slimier than the real ones!

It was the first time I'd scuba dived so that took a bit of getting used too. That's the oddest thing I wasn't scared just to totally awed I guess. I didn't know that the glass on the tanks actually makes them look snmaller than they are in real life inside the tank. They are so beautiful and the turtles were brilliant and the rays were playing with the instructors. A 3ft Port Jackson shark parked herself on my hand at one point. Just plopped herself down on top of it and stayed there for like 5 minutes. Later the 13ft Grey Nurse came straight at me and at the last minute turned slightly and brushed me with a fin and then brushed my face with her side and tail, just as gentle as could be. She had these amazing tan coloured eyes, and she was very pregnant. Nothing can adequately describe the sensation of laying there over the glass tunnel and having the instructor signal that something is behind you and then having this shark glide inches over (and occassionally touching) your head. Think doing it a second time would be better as you'd be more relaxed and probably see and enjoy it more.

Wish I could have shared it with you Sunny, it was something. And the kind of bliss that set in afterwards was something too.
