I'm so sorry about all of that! How awful! I hope your dad is OK, and I'm soooo sad for you about your mom missing the trip, esp. after you struggled to get a ticket. What bad luck, bad timing. But at least she was home for your dad when he got sick. It would have been sad and scary for him to be alone and go to the hospital, and then she'd have to fly back anyway...I hope the day gets better and that you have a nice weekend, even if you mom can't be with you. I hope she can plan a trip once your dad is stabilized!
