Yes, and I loved it! MMMMMM....so many candies! We even got apples...and homemade popcorn balls...and ATE THEM!!! And there were no poisons or razor blades!

There are LOTS of kids who come trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. I love seeing the cute costumes and passing out candy. It is so much fun! I'm really not a huge Halloween fan (kind of hate it), but the only part i like is when the kids come by. It reminds me of the extreme fun I had, and I love seeing them get so excited by the candy.

These days the parents usually come as a chaperone, and I know they throw away any unwrapped or "suspect" candy. I think that's wise, but I think it's still safe to go.

Last year a bus came to our street and dropped off inner city kids to do trick or treating, b/c they didn't feel safe going in their neighborhood. I would have been cool with this, EXCEPT...none of the kids had a costume, and none of the kids even said "trick or treat" or even "thank you!" They just took candy.

One kid asked, "Why can't I have another snickers?" so I gave him a few more. But it was kind of a weird vibe. At least if kids paint their face or put on a mask, it feels like they are trying to "earn" the candy! :)
