I hardly ever pay full price for anything. I even got my tax id so I could purchase wholesale!
Rebates are a gift from God! This is why I love doing secret shopper jobs. I cash in on all I can. I also love to get paid to take surveys or evaluate products before they hit the retail market.
Extended warranties are a rip-off. Except for the ones when you purchase a home (and you can put in the contract that the seller pays for that if you're the buyer), or a used car.
Anything else you buy from a store should last longer than the warranty anyway. You're just giving them free money. If something goes wrong in the 1st 30 days or so, take the item back to the store.And never get that spray-on crap the furniture store will try to sell you which comes with a warranty. It will actually void the manufacturer's warranty in some cases because it damages the fabric. You guessed it--I learned that one the hard way. (Bastards!)
