UnitedHealthcare helps Katrina victims

Posted by sunny10 on September 23, 2005, at 9:40:25

UnitedHealthcare has announced that anyone in the Gulf Coast region affected by Hurricane Rita will have free access to a 24-hour telephonic service staffed by UnitedHealthcare’s experienced master’s-level counselors. Counselors can assist callers with the range of personal concerns and needs that may affect victims of natural disasters. Anyone, regardless of whether or not they get health care coverage from UnitedHealthcare, can speak with counselors, free of charge, to help them handle the stress, anxiety and loss that affects people who have lived through serious hurricanes. Referrals to community resources are available from a national database to help people with specific concerns, such as financial and legal issues.
