At work, there's a group of girls that do nothing but talk about everyone else. Recently, I've been hearing they're saying things about me which concern work. Having been fired from my last job because another employee set me up, this really concerns me.
I know the main one is going to be at work early eating breakfast in the breakroom. I'm going to tell her what I heard and let her know she could have resolved this easily by talking to me. I'll let her know I don't really care if she talks about me, except when it comes to work, which I take very seriously. I'll ask her to please come to me in the future if it concerns work. Otherwise, she can talk about how fat my *ss is all day long.
Of course I have it all planned out to say in a nice, but assertive way.
Wish me luck, I'm terrible with confrontations.
