Hi Deneb,
I don't think you scared Dr. Bob away. I'm sorry to say, I don't think you have that kind of power, although a part of you might wish you did.
Dr. Bob is a busy man. I know very little about him other than that he is a psychiatrist on staff at an excellent University. In addition to his clinical duties AT THE UNIVERSITY, he owns and administrates this web site and, as of a few years ago, he had a wife. I assume he has a family. With all those irons in the fire, I doubt that he has much time to spend thinking about any one of us in particular. That might come as a disappointment to you and to some others here. He isn't your psychiatrist or mine. He is not our doctor. I think the feelings and thoughts you have about him are common for people to have towards their psychiatrists/therapists/psychoanalysts. Those feelings are part of what is known as transference. Transference is very helpful in the right setting (i.e., in therapy). Transference is the crux of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I think it would be really good if you could find an excellent therapist to help you through some of these feelings.
How is school coming along?
