I know Bangalow, I spent part of my childhood in Byron Bay and Ballina. Your in Hippy country right? Magic mushrooms the size of dinner plates (ah to be young again) My sister lives in Lismore. And (when i was a hippy) I lived in Mallanganee (between Casino and Tenterfield).
I dont remember much of Tasmania except the winter sucks (dreary, grey, foggy and cold). A lot like Melbourne. I spent most of my years in Sydney until I moved o/s in 1992. I think your in the one of the best parts of the country right there in the northern rivers region, I travelled a lot around Oz. and found the climate most favourable around northern nsw. The beaches around there were incredible too. Ever been to the channon?
