Temporary loss of cognitive ability?

Posted by Deneb on August 3, 2005, at 20:35:56

Yesterday a really weird thing happened to me. I think it happens often when I get anxious. This time it was really obvious to me.

Someone gave me 2 dimes and 2 nickels and something happened and I got a little anxious. I don't remember exactly what made me anxious. I just stared at the 4 coins and I could not figure out what I was looking at!! I didn't know how much I was holding and I just kept staring at the coins and I couldn't think! My thoughts kept jumping around and I couldn't remember what value the coins where.

My question is: Is this normal or was there something seriously wrong with my brain?!
