I started to worry too. Maybe other people were worried too, but nobody wanted to say anything...
It can be hard when posters go AWOL. Hard to know whether they are okay or not. So I guess we do worry about them.
It can be hard to get to a computer sometimes though. I go AWOL when ITS f*ck up my comp access sometimes... (But now I have a couple 'emergency backup' accounts ;-)
