That might be a different kind of grief. But maybe the results are the same, sometimes? Bitter, then bittersweet, the sweet and the bitter together make everything so richly textured, everything that comes after. And you still have times, maybe, when you just sob, the grief comes as though the wound happened yesterday, it's consuming and intense and inescapable.
