I've heard that if a black cat crosses your path you are in for bad luck.
What happens if you happen to come upon a dead black cat. Is that the same? or not.

Does foaming at the mouth constitute a hex?
Or how about a man who forgets the cat is there and lets it continue to be there in a not so good sort of way? Is he the bad luck?
