hi Nikki,
I'm sorry your stomach is bothering you! I think Dinah's right - carbs ARE easier on the stomach. I think that's why docs recommend avoiding dairy/veggies when you're recovering from a flu or food poisoning episode.

Why does it make your hubby mad that you need to eat gentler foods? I'm sorry he's mad. :(

Would it be possible that you and your hubby start cooking two dishes instead of one? Maybe a carby thing for you, and something else for him? There are also lots of pre-packaged meals available that either of you might like (some are gross, but you might find something you like.) How about sandwiches? Omelettes? I know that the health-food stores like Whole Foods sometimes have really cool vegetarian stuff, both fresh and pre-packaged.
