This alone thing is new to me, too.
I just last night realized that I have never lived entirely alone before in my 37 years...So I quite understand the "alone feeling like lonely" and the "amazingly loud quiet" feelings; not to mention the "how stupid am I for getting to where I am now- I must have done about a million things wrong" thoughts...
You really aren't alone, and neither am I. We are both lucky and smart enough to have found so many friends here at babble who will hold our hands, hug us, and help us through the difficult times and let us help them.
