One band I have liked for a number of years now is Blue Rodeo (they are Canadian, and so am I eh!). Alot of their lyrics are so moving for me that I could listen to some songs over and over.

Maybe I'll just list kinds of music instead. Let's see there's rock, R&B, blues, folk, jazz singing. Hmmmm too open-ended but still don't want to bore you all with a long list. Maybe I'll just mention Leonard Cohen. Anyone ever heard of him? Love his music and his lyrics are the best. (Now I'm really showing my age - and my eccentricity.)

~~~ Me too - I like blues, r&b, jazz, rock. Music is a life-force for me I think. I need a healthy dose of it each day. Find it hard to concentrate without music in the background.
Leonard Cohen, ah yes. He, I think, is an acquired taste. His lyrics are great, but his voice . . . hmmm definitely an acquired taste. I like to listen to him once in a while, when I am in the mood. I have always liked Jennifer Warnes' album - Famous Blue Raincoat, which is a compilation of Leonard Cohen's songs. It's old, but I still like it.
