In reply to laugh at the tv?, posted by PM80 on April 7, 2005, at 16:05:03

I do, all the time. And, if your roommate thinks people laughing out loud when they are alone watching tv is weird, then your roommate would think I was absolutely nuts because I sometimes even burst out laughing when I, for whatever reason, think about a joke or a funny scene from a movie that made me laugh in the past. Yup, I get some strange looks as I try to stifle a laugh when I am on the bus or in a store :-) (the old fake cough routine!) Who cares - not me! Hasn't your roommate ever heard the expression: Laughter is the best medicine? It doesn't matter when you get your medicine or if you get it alone or in the company of others, just as long as you get some (IMHO)! Keep laughing - I think it releases endorphins or something (don't quote me on that :-)).

> So does anyone else laugh out loud when they watch something on the tv that is funny, even if they are by themselves? My ex-roommate(not my fav person by a long shot) thought it was weird. But sometimes I can't really help it; I mean, laughter is supposed to be spontaneous, right?
