I don't understand what "God does not play dice with the universe" as Einstein meant it, has to do with people's fates, I think he was referring to lack of faith in quantam theory, which held too many uncertainties for him.As for the fate of the man on the operating table.. Einstein said specifically that he believed in a god who concerned himself with the harmony of the universe, but not with the particular fates of human beings. (Spinoza's God)
