Thank you so much for your explanation. It does sound like it would be an incredibly painful process though in such a short period of time. I have to wonder if the person's strength will come into play.

I do hope you're feeling a little better now.

Hugs sweetie. Please take care of yourself and I hope the arrival of your mom goes off easier than it's looking. My condolences to you and your family. Y'all are in my prayers.

> Instead of Living History. You dig? Stuff that I actively felt hurt by and resentment about; I have now been able to say - It is in my past. I have been able to reconcile my feelings about the events through EMDR, whereas before the hurt was still active and hurting, after all these years. EMDR let me process the memory - that is, play out all my feelings about the events, and so process the memory so that it's been resolved to the best of my ability. It's so very difficult to keep being angry with someone if you have no opportunity to resolve it (like if your dad died, like mine did, before you could tell him what an effing bastard he'd been). EMDR lets you play a scenario out "real time" so you can get the exchange out of your head and into the history.
