While they try to take a number of factors into account there are a number of other factors that are not taken into account.
They say that this isn't the be all and end all but I think it is incredably significant that

I bet we could calculate a similar one round June or July for the southern hemisphere. I bet travel agency bookings are highest round then. Mid year slump is what we get over here.
