btw, some additional info: i tried to reinstall microsoft word, but the computer wouldn't let me. i wonder if it would let me reinstall scandisk (probably not?), and if that might possibly help fix the problems? i don't know..i'm totally clueless here unfortunately. also, the only program that works out of all the ones i've tried is Notepad.
