Hi AG,

I don't know you yet and I don't post here often, but I know how distressing message boards such as this can be.... so here's my 1/5 of a dime.

I think there is a tendency to get really serious and overinvolved with this "world" at times. There are a number of factors that lead to this and I have experienced this many times in my three years here.

I have noted what I call "poster progression". Folks come here seeking support, questions answered, etc... it's great for a while... THEN something frustrating, hurtful, any number of untoward feelings can be experienced.

I found putting a message board like this in perspective helps, but that process isn't easy. I know isolation and the need for distraction kept me very overinvolved and oversensitive for quite a while - and still can from time to time. This place and other forums like this are difficult habits to break when it has become so important. Totally not being active here isn't necessary, but breaks can be a good thing.

If being here is too hard for you right now, please think of looking at why things effect you so strongly. That's what I tried to do. Sometimes figuring that out is helpful and allows for prespective as to what the advantage and disadvangages are.

My hope (for me) has been for a happy compromise where I can participate but not allow the interactions that push my buttons to, well, push my buttons. I also TRY to realize **I'm** allowing the "getting to me", giving credit that some really hurtful and frustrating situations can be encountered.

I work on being able to: "so what..." and not miss an opportunity to NOT respond and it is my work in progress.

Best to you,
Glydin
