Hi *s*

My diagnoses is also BPD.. I found out, as so many of us in the UK do, when I was discharged from hospital and steamed open my discharge letter I was meant to give my GP!

I've come a long way over the last 5 years.. I never found a med that really helpe me much in anyway. Olanzapine (Zyprexa) helped with the suicidal ideation, but other than that, not a huge amount helped. I had 2 years of CBT which did help an awful with quite a few aspects of it.. but I don't know what I can put most of my recovery down to really.

If you're in the UK, I'm involved with a charity called Borderline UK (http://www.borderlineuk.co.uk) - its run almost entire by BPD people, and we have some support boards, a great website.. but a group of us there do alot of work to remove stigma and improve services for those with a PD diagnoses.. Its been really worthwhile work, and has actually turned partly into a career for me now!!

Good luck.. and NEVER.. ever.. let anyone tell you its untreatable!!

Nikki x
