this year i made (in time for canadian thanksgiving, of course):

* a new stuffing recipe, with apricots, figs, and dried cherries - yum!
* mom's classic wild rice casserole with mushrooms and slivered almonds
* sweet potatoes with nutmeg and cinnamon and sweetened with brown sugar
* steamed green beans with slivered almonds
* spinach salad

and of course there was the turkey with homemade gravy. the cranberry sauce was also homemade (with orange - yum!) before dinner there were veggies with hummus (homemade)

boy was it all good! i had my friends bring dessert. pumpkin pie and chocolate cake. we ate like kings.

i didn't even start cooking ahead of time - got up at 7 am and dinner was ready by 6. :) eleven hours of prep. good work by me!
