Perhaps you are thinking of moral issues such as being pro-life.

I just wanted to post my definition of pro-life, which I view as a moral issue as well. I suspect we are not on the same page, however.

I believe in the availabililty of quality health care for all. Surely that is pro-life sustaining? (and incidentally, does this mean I am okay with increased taxes? Yes, because I can afford it if it can help others have a decent life and the same access that I currently enjoy.)

I believe in quality education and access to college for all who want to go and can benefit from it. Surely that is pro-quality of life?

I believe in preserving our environment to ensure the life-sustaining clean air for our children to breathe. Surely that is pro-life?

I believe in raising the minimum wage to one that is above the poverty level. Surely that is pro-life support?

I believe in no deficit spending in order to insure social security and other forms of retirement income exist for our children and grandchildren. Surely that is pro-quality of life? For some even life-sustaining.

I believe in equal rights for all people of all races, gender, religion, point of view, sexual orientation, sports team fans, and so on. Surely that is pro-life of all kinds.

All of these intiatives and values are morally correct according to my own moral code. They are all in line with contributing to or maintaining quality of life. Surely those of us in the richest country in the world, with as much freedom as we have, can agree that these pro-life values are vital and work towards achieving them?

Regards,
gg
