Hi: Good idea!
Um, ditto on the White Stripes!
Also, U2 from their "All That You Can't Leave Behind" Album:
"Beautiful Day"
"What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day" (that's the last verse).

AND: "Stuck In A Moment"
"I'm not afraid
Of anything in this world
There's nothing you can throw at me
That I haven't already heard

I'm just trying to find
A decent melody
A song that I can sing
In my own company"

I especially love the latter song, and will play it blastingly loud and sing along at the top of my voice!! It so encapsulates my GAD feelings and getting "stuck in a moment" and worrying all the time about something silly to the point of anxiety. It's a "shake me out of it, positive thinking song"!
Take a listen!

I'm sure there's loads more....oh yeah, for pure fun and sarcastic humour, if you like pop-punk, try The Offspring's "She's Got Issues" off "Americana".

I have what I call my "Singalong" mix CD, that I will play whilst driving, if I feel down, and I will sing loudly to that too! Somehow, singing can bring joy to the spirits. That particular CD is full of somewhat inane pop music, that I couldn't just sit and listen to, but always enjoy driving and singing to it. Go figure!
Warm wishes
Jas
