I think that you are on the right track here in your perception and you have brought up an important point reletive to this discussion.
For there to be an unfolding, would it not be that what is there is folded over? It is this unfolding that reveals what could be seen.
You see, there are things that can be seen. But there are things that one does not see that others may have seen. It is not that the others do not see it because it is there and they can not see it, but it can not be seen because it is folded over. If I have seen , and I see the folding over of what could be seen, and unfold what is folded over, then what was unseen is now unveiled and could be seen. But this unveiling is, like you say, a thought process. It is this thought process of line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little , there a little, that is in my thought process that I have.
