I'm not sure if you're kidding or not.. if so, you may find this triggering...

I used to really pride myself on never using shopping carts. I'd always use a basket, and carry out the groceries myself. I guess I thought pushing a cart seemed too housewifey or too middle-aged or something. It was just a couple years ago I discovered how wonderful carts are. No more metal basket handles cutting into my arms while I shop. No more anxiety as the basket gets heavier and heavier and I still have more to buy. What's more, I can put my carried-in starbucks on the little kiddie-seat. Plus it's fun to drive a shopping cart-- they're big and rattley and take up space. I feel powerful pushing one around. Now I always get one, even if I only fill up the front basket part.
