I used a home highlighting kit. It had this little comb you were supposed to use, but it wasn't very easy. The stuff kept clumping at the roots and I couldn't get it to spread all the way to the ends. Eventually I just sort of combed it all through evenly. So... it turned out a little orangey, and not nice narrow stripes, but more just an orangey sheen, with some kinda obvious clumps. My hair is reddish to begin with, so it isn't freakish orange, but it's definitely not the pretty blond I was expecting. It also feels strawlike.
Guess I should just go to a salon and get it fixed?
I also bought some fake tan, but it didn't seem to have much effect.
