((((((((partlycloudy))))))))
i am sorry you are so sad right now so i want to start off with a big hug for you.

i'd just kind of like to say that sometimes i can become sensitive like that in two different ways. sometimes i'm sad for that person, what they will now have to deal with, money, new job, unemployment, pain of being let go...etc., etc, etc.(and i really do go on and on) That is showing empathy for a person, but remember there is nothing you could have done to prevent this. The other way is sometimes i get caught in the loop of the emotion, meaning i separate the emotion from the individual. So basically it could have been anyone and i would still be destraught over what happened- for me this is the most dangerous and most painful. i think this is the empathic(ness?) (note difference between empathy and empathic) because the emotion they feel surrounds you- if i want to get away from it i try to avoid closeness or eyecontact with that individual-i've also learned to close myself off (doesn't always work). Sometimes i think this is part of depression that we may become more sensitive to emotions when in this state??? i just don't know. all i do know is that either one is painful and i don't know any way to prevent it. i'm sorry

-in the corner of my mind there's one other thing and i think daisym started to touch on that. but could you maybe be dealing with issues of abandonment? it's possible that deep inside (aware or not) it could be setting off some of these emotions?

either way i know i'm not much help but i would love to just give you some comfort somehow...know i am with you right now, understanding your ache inside. know that it Will lessen. be good to yourself today ok?
and it's ok if it looks like you only have three eyelashes, it's better than one eyebrow right?
;^)

i love what shadows wrote below. I second and third this!!!

I can't even say we were friends, but here I am with mascara dribbling down my cheeks. (I tried water proof mascara and it makes me look like I only have 3 eyelashes.)
