Hi Calico,
I'm new to this particular board, so I'm no doubt walking into the middle of a conversation, but I know all too well what it's like to jump onto the med merry-go-round and face one disappointment after another. After eight brutal years and a suicide attempt earlier this year, I've finally been put on Effexor XR, and it seems to be working really well for me. I have a poem posted on the Psycho-Babble Writing page called "Tyrannosaurus Meds," which provides a pretty good idea of what it was like for me when my pdoc had me hopping from med to med, with no light at the end of the tunnel in sight. The anger and despair and frustration just got to be unbearable. Atticus
