The Party of the Loud Part believes that life begins at conception. Other religions believe that life begins at first breath (until a couple hundred years ago the Catholic church would not baptize still borns as they never really lived.) The truth may or may not lie somewhere in between.
But the IMPORTANT part of that is they are beliefs, not facts. And belief is the only thing we have until someone can come up with a definition of life. Brain waves are used to determine death, should the same thing be used to determine life? Are these even the correct criteria?
Does it matter? No, because these are beliefs and (more tyranny) in this country you SHOULD NOT! impose your beliefs on someone else. If you don't like stem cells, that is your right. Don't use them! Keep taking your insulin!
Funding is another issue. The Party of the Loud part doesn't think they should have to pay for others' stem cell health. So, maybe it's time for the Party of the Sensible Part to be heard.
But I refuse to call myself part of a 'moral majority'
