I'm glad you like your red hair. I dyed mine red about a year ago and I love it. I have green eyes and I think it brings them out. I went through the same thing about being shocked when I looked in the mirror. That eventually goes away though. Also, red will fade big time, even with permanant color. Then it won't seem quite so shocking.
My eyebrows are still ash blonde, but everyone thinks I'm a natural red head so they must look okay. I pluck them pretty thin though, so maybe they just can't see them very well.
I dyed it a real extreme red once, and got more compliments than ever. But I felt like a punk rocker or something, which was cool for a while, but eventually got old. So now I just do the Light Auburn.
