Living down in Mississippi we know A LOT about humidity. My hair is natrually curly...like REALLLLLLLLY curly. I get that Japanese Thermal Reconstructioning process done like once or twice a year. Thats when you go and they hair dresser spends about 5 hours burning silk into your hair and somehow it makes it straight, shiny and small without doing much damage. I used to spend 45 miniutes trying to blow and straighten out my hair but after doing that it take 10... oh the blessed sleep I get!!! Well, hope you have a great night...Rusk Sheer Brilliance is a wonderful product to add shine and cut down poofy... I usually use that then blow dry, then flat iron with my little ceramic iron, then spray with a finishing shine spray...like straight sexy hair or Rush Str8.
