Hi Simus -
Yes, I'm sorry, I've neglected to post the latest. She's doing well. She stayed in the hospital for a few days last week and came home on Friday, I believe. Her team was able to talk her into a whole regimen of treatments, got her into a day program and gave her a scrip for Seroquel. She was actually not diagnosed with anything - just a stressful period in her life in which her usual coping strategies did not serve her well. The idea is to teach her new strategies. It's a start.Her eviction notice was stayed for another month and she's been able to hook up with a myriad of resources for less pricey housing and other services. She'll be able to stay in the same area, which means her son will be able to stay at the same high school. She actually found out her leave of absence from the nursing program was approved, so she could go back to it next year if she feels strong enough! Her family has been very involved and supportive, even though I know it's been hard for her to let them! I spoke to her Mom and she seemed glad that she had this forum to go to and that she wasn't as alone as her Mom thought she was.
She feels really badly about all she put everyone through who followed her thread. I told her not to give it a thought . . . it's all part of the deal when you participate in an open forum like this. She's very thankful to everyone, especially Dr. Bob. She probably won't post again though.
She sounds good! I'm hoping the best for her!
