I don't have anything brilliant to add either except to tell you you aren't alone in being alone. I seem to mess up every intimate relationship I have and I am sick of friends not understanding.
I am so lonely right now I can hardly stand it. I don't understand how in a world of so many people so many of us feel so alone. We distance ourselves from people we meet on the street because we are gabbing on our cell phones, we don't talk to our neighbors in apartment buildings, we barely look at each other in grocery stores...it just seems so ridiculous.
