I agree. I have had similar thoughts on this but couldn't imagine packaging them effectively and wouldn't risk it. But 1coyote, you tempered realism with sensitivity well. When this matter first surfaced on the med board, someone posted some philosophies (from Buddhism) that boiled down to self-awareness into seeing that there *are* always choices. Sometimes we may even be one step removed from that, to where we don't yet see where choice comes in so we need to start with simply taking responsibility for getting our minds open enough so that there is any chance at all that specific ideas will follow. Fend off our own assumptions and conclusions about "bad luck;" "too late;" and what can be predetermined to be of no use. Because no one else can impart receptiveness on us, that's for sure, and by default things will get worse. The other poster and yourself rang true and have been unique in cutting to the actual root of things and suggesting what are probably the only concrete possibilities for positive change. I hope the potential merits are indeed seen or at least genuinely considered. Good insights. :- )
