Hi Mag - I'm just getting caught up - what a week I missed, huh!?!? I have to say I don't know what social phobias are like, but I sure do know about meeting the prospective in-laws, have been thru that many a time. I'm proud you didn't chicken out and you can use this event as a touch-point for future successes. Like someone else said (jlynne?) - you seem so sweet in your posts, how could they not like you, especially if it is evident how much you care for their son. Hope your week is going well!

Hey guys, i did it!!! i feel so good having done so!, i was nervous and anxious but it wasnt overwhelming and i actually had a good time:) i totally thought of you guys too and knowing that i wasnt really alone. As i was sitting on my doorstep waiting to go i thought, 'you know good or bad this is theraputic, facing the fears, one step at a time', normally i would have backed out and felt horrible for doing so, now i know i just have to try harder and try to change my perspectives a bit.
