I am using archival test data from a university psychological services center. I am looking for clusters of profiles from the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI, which looks primarily at Axis I disorders and the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI), which looks more at Axis II disorders. There seem to be some "typical" profiles that we see a lot of, and I want to confirm that and look at differences in outcome.

I am working on a PsyD in clinical psychology at a midwestern university. I don't really feel comfortable saying much more than that (although anyone who knows me will recognize the topic.)

Good luck to you. I know how difficult grad school can be. Do you have to do a master's thesis?

To other responders: thanks for the interest and support. I am in the early phases, but am very motivated to get moving. I have set an ambitious deadline for myself in order to make sure I can go on internship next year. I might disclose my deadline to y'all (once I get my timeline firmed up)if you would be willing to help hold me accountable. (My chair is pretty laid back and I need more public shame in order to stay motivated. How's that for pathology?)

Not ready to post an abstract yet. Have to write it first. I love the idea of putting something into the book to see if anyone ever reads it. Reminds me of a friends episode where Ross discovers some hot chick reading his or something like that. I've actually read some, as I was on the awards committee one year. It made me feel good to read others. I thought "I can do that, too." Hearing about others on this board who have accomplished this also inspire me.

Thanks to all! Gotta go or I'll be late for class. (Another pathology disclosure--always running late!)
