Gesse Zen, I thought that you were a Buddist? But seriously. It's like the end of the film "It's a Wonderful Life" when Jimmy Stewart is standing by the Christmas tree with his wife and ZuZu (petals and all). Then he opens the white Bible from the angel Clarence that has a written message to George Bailey. "Remeber George, no one is a FAILURE if he has FRIENDS". The gift of honest friendship, and bonds that wind through you like so many roots in a window-jar plant; there is nothing more valuable. So you, perhaps, received more than any of us. Honest, simple and deep friendship. No strings attached. Anyway, this has been a long December for you,but there's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last.
Maybe some day, I will be able to be one of your friends. Until then, be well, fight the good fight. For dawn brings another day, use it the best you can.
