Hey.... both of y'all are adults ! You can do whatever you want. Technically she's not a prof if she's still in PhD. So that means she's still a student too. She's just filling some prof's shoes and doing him/her a favor by teaching the courses. If you're taking her courses just to be close to her, I say dump the courses and go for her directly. Then there's no conflict whatsoever. If you really want the courses then you'll just have to wait another semester and once she's not grading you anymore....its all fair game !
