Try not to worry about the wildlife too much, they are so resourceful. This morning we had about 20 quail chowing down bugs on the grass by our pool, and yesterday there was a 3 point buck sipping water from our pool (they must think it's an oasis)- my dogs are in another area and went totally nuts. I figure if they think it's safe to be here, then my family is probably safe. The flames were put out (by a helicopter dropping water) on the side of the mountain facing my house so they must have come from there. hope you haven't had to be evacuated, the police evacuated people from about one block away yesterday.
