Its awful, beyond awful I know to feel like you have no control over anything, your mood, your weight, decision making. Its crushing.
Weight is a big thing to me.
I can't have a good mood while I feel really heavy, even though I do have diagnosed clinical depression. When I gained 30lbs on Effexor I was devastated.
It doesn't sound very realistic to stick to a diet plan you are having to fight with every step of the way. Having depression takes away enough pleasure, without having to add one more thing to the list.
I know this belongs on the med board, but my salvation was Topamax, not a lot, about 150 mgs a day was enough to help me lose the weight I gained from the anti-depressants and I feel 100%
better.
